The basketball player shared a rare social media post on Wednesday, posting a photo of himself with a pensive expression on his face while standing a balcony in Canada.
While it’s unclear whether Thompson, 28, is currently abroad or if the photo is old, he captioned the post with the emoji of the Canadian flag.
Thompson’s social media activity comesexactly one yearafter news broke that the NBA player allegedly cheated on his then-girlfriendKhloé Kardashian.
Earlier on Wednesday, Kardashian, 34, alsoposted on social media, encouraging her Twitter followers to “stay smiling.”
On her Instagram Story, she also posted a photo of her and Thompson’s daughterTrue, who turns 1 on Friday.
On April 10, 2018, just two days before Kardashiangave birthto True, Thompson was caught on videogetting close to an unidentified womanin a New York City lounge. At the same time,TMZpublished footage from October 2017 allegedly depicting Thompson kissing one woman while a different woman groped him at a hookah lounge outside of Washington, D.C.
“Tristan has been consistently cheating on Khloé,” a source alleged to PEOPLE at the time. “He’s a serial cheater. And there will be more women to come out of the woodwork.”
While Thompson has never publicly addressed the allegations, the drama unfolded onKeeping Up with the Kardashians, with the reality star admitting the situation was “humiliating” and calling Thompson a“complete piece of s—.”
Kardashian ultimately decided toforgive him,and they spent the summerrebuilding their relationshipin Los Angeles. But when the reality star decided not to move back to Cleveland with Thompson in the fall, things between the coupletook another downward turnand they began spending less and less time together.
Less than a year later, Thompson found himself embroiled in another cheating scandal. In February, reports surfaced that he had hooked up withJordyn Woods, her sisterKylie Jenner‘slongtime best friend.
Thompson initially denied the reports on social media, tweeting “FAKE NEWS.” That tweet, though, was later deleted.

On March 1, Woods, 21, shared her side of the story in atell-all interview, claiming Thompson kissed her at an afterparty at his house on Feb. 17. Though she adamantly denied having sex with him, she admitted that the next day, while she told Kardashian and Jenner, 21, that she had been at Thompson’s house, shedidn’t disclose what had happened between them.
“I’m no home wrecker,” she insisted. “I would never try to hurt someone’s home, especially someone that I love. And someone that I’ve seen has a beautiful daughter. I never was trying to steal someone’s man.”

Kardashian initially slammed Woods on Twitter after the interview, blaming her forbreaking up her family, but she softened her tone a day later andplaced the fault instead on Thompson.
“This has been an awful week & I know everyone is sick of hearing about it all (as am I). I’m a rollercoaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn’t have,” she tweeted on March 2. “Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time.”
A source told PEOPLE last week that while Kardashian is disappointed in the outcome of her relationship with Thompson, her “heartbreak seems to have passed.”
“Although she really wanted Tristan to come around, grow up and be a man, she seems to have realized that she’s much better off now,” said the source. “Everyone is happy to see her happier.”
