“Gypsy, I do agree with you, the D is fire. Firedesign,” he began in thevideo, a nod to herviral Instagram commentabout her husband,Ryan Scott Anderson.

“I can only imagine how crazy it’s been transitioning from prison bars to an actual home that is yours,” he continued, adding that he has “the privilege of redesigning people’s homes at oftentimes big transitions in their life.”

Berk then proceeded to point out a series of “coincidences” that tie him to Blanchard.

TheQueer EyeandPrison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchardstars have both lived in Springfield, Missouri. Berk was born there and Blanchard lived there with her mother,Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard.

The reality star also brought up that Blanchard recently moved in with Anderson in Louisiana, which is where the most recent seasons ofQueer Eyewere filmed, and shared that he designed the home ofJoey King, whoportrayed Blanchard onThe Act.

“So, I just thought, there’s too many coincidences for me to not help you design your home,” Berk said.

“Bottom line, your home should reflect who you are and who you’ve become and who you’ve grown [into] as a person,” he continued, “and I would love to offer my design services to come help you make your home just that.”

In aheartfelt letter announcing his exit on Instagramaddressed to “theQueer EyeCommunity who have become family to me,” the designer wrote, “The love that I have received from you all over the last 6 years has been absolutely surreal. You have tuned in and been dedicated fans and together we were able to share the healing powers of design.”

“I learned from you all about kindness, love and acceptance and that has changed my life for the better,” he continued. “The way you have embraced me and accepted me for who I am is something that l will truly carry with me for the rest of my life.”

At the end of the message, Berk confirmed his departure, writing, “It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that season 8 will be my final season on Queer Eye. It’s not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one. Although my journey with Queer Eye is over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon.”
