For now , Google Earth will only play on handset with Android 2.1 , which effectively define it to the Nexus One . The serious news is that theDroid , and some older HTC handsets , are due for a 2.1 upgrade comparatively before long . The bad tidings is that even Google ca n’t even run away Android ’s more and more worry fragmentation problem with its own apps , on its own operating system . This does n’t bode well .
