A former Meta employee is accused of killing his wife and twin sons before fatally shooting himself in an apparent murder-suicide, police say.
Officers from the San Mateo Police Department found the bodies of Anand Henry, his wife Alice Benziger and their two children in their San Mateo, Calif., home after receiving a 911 call on Monday morning, the department said in a statement to PEOPLE.
Officer Jerami Surratt, who spoke with reporters on Monday, said the 911 caller told them no one had heard from the family for a while, which “raised the concern.” Police believe the incident occurred Saturday.
Officers who responded to the home did not find any signs of forced entry, the department said in an updated statement.
Henry and Benziger died from gunshot wounds and were found in the bathroom, according to the statement. The children were found deceased in the bedroom but their causes of death have not been determined. Police confirm that neither child died from gunshot wounds or showed signs of bodily trauma.
Police say a handgun registered to Henry was found in the home.
