The third way out of Marvel ’s Darth Vader monthly series — written by Greg Pak , featuring prowess from Raffaele Ienco and Neeraj Menon , and letter by Joe Caramagna — is out this week , and extend its fascinating geographic expedition of Vader ’s descent into himself after face his son on Cloud City , further enmeshingthe catastrophe of Empire Strikes Back and the Star Wars prequels together . Tired enough of seeing the past , old-hat enough of reliving what remained of his former life , Vader resolve to survive the prevarication , lighting his saber once more . Yes , he kill Padmé , he tells Sabé . Yes , he kill Anakin Skywalker . It is the moment above all that we have seen in Star Wars ’ revise story — even more so than his anterior funnies , even more so thanObi - Wan ’s liein A New Hope , even more so than thatmoment with Ahsokain Rebels — that , despite their flesh and pedigree being the same broken in shuck , Anakin give-up the ghost and Darth Vader is take over .
