As the Field of Dreams saying goes , “ If you build it , they will come in , ” and sure enough , the “ Big Leagues , Little Bricks ” display at theLouisville Slugger Museum & Factoryis attracting Lego enthusiasts and pass away - hard baseball fan in droves . Over 222,000 Lego bricks went into creating the display that ’s on display now through Labor Day .
The centrepiece is intelligibly the Wrigley Field replica ( as photographed byFred T ) , create by Sean Kenney with 57,960 brick . The next prominent build is the “ Take Me Out to the Ball Game ” mural , which used 55,269 brick and took 4 daytime to complete . The wall painting render a baseball panorama with raised bricks that feature the discussion to “ Take Me Out to the Ball Game ” across the aerofoil .
There are 15 other Lego Creation on showing , including more arena and “ dynamic conceptual sculptures of iconic baseball game bit ” ( like a portraiture of Jeter smile in a suit ) . And , as if you needed another grounds to visit Louisville , the museum is also home to the world ’s largest baseball bat and it ’s located along the Bourbon Trail . Cheers ! [ Flickr ]
