Cruise ship operator Carnival has developed a new WiFi@Sea electronic internet for passengers aboard its vessels , and they claim that it provide those aboard with Internet that s ten time faster than the current standard . It ’s managed to reach that using a blending of technology : standard Wi - Fi while in dock , long - mountain chain Wi - Fi that reaches 40 miles out to sea , and orbiter connectivity when it ’s in the centre of the ocean . The connection flip between the three without ever cut out ( hopefully ) .
