California wants to be the first state to disallow companies from labeling their products as recyclable unless they can prove that the ware is really being recycled .
The recycling symbol — those three “ tail arrows ” that form a triangle — look on all sort of things : charge card fork , cosmetics containers , and even windowpane panes . Products would also have to suffer other criteria , including not contain toxic compounds like PFAS .
