I do n’t know that anybody has talked about that , but that is unquestionably my program – to do 8 , 9 , and 10 and they ’re gon na be each shorter seasons of just eight episodes – and then wind it up . … I was gon na end it after 8 , but then I had sort of a mental capacity explosion of a way that I could do three more seasons and really keep my interest up . So the three seasons that are come up are gon na be pretty dissimilar from what has come before , and they ’re gon na be dissimilar from each other .
As fans of the show know , “ pretty dissimilar ” for Archer could mean literally anything — the most recent time of year saw the disgraced secret agent affect from New York to LA to become private detectives ; the fifth season , Archer : Vice , temporarily turned the gang into coke trader ( plus one outlaw country superstar ) . Given that time of year seven ’s Hollywood roundabout way terminate on a cliffhanger , time of year eight ( due in 2017 ) will in all probability find fault up there . After that , who knows … though one can only assume it ’ll involve several visit to the danger geographical zone .
