During Saturday’s “Ask Andy” panel atBravoCon 2023in Las Vegas, theWatch What Happens Livehost andReal Housewivesexecutive producer was asked about Singer’s sudden absence from the convention.

The Real Housewives of New York Cityalum, 66, was originally slated to attend BravoCon to promote the upcomingReal Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, but was pulled from her appearance amid renewed controversy over an alleged racist remark she made while filmingRHONYduring her final season.

Speaking on the matter, Cohen said: “I think the most that I can say is that we already shotUltimate Girls Tripand she’s on the show, she’s not here, and that’s where we’re at.”

ModeratorRachel Lindsaythen chimed in, “And I’m okay with that.”

In response, Cohen affirmed, “It was the right call.”

Singerwas an original cast member onRHONYfor 13 seasonsbefore Bravo scrapped the entire cast in favor of a more diverse group of Housewives.

On Monday,Vanity Fairpublished an article, resurfacing previous allegations that Singer used a racial slur during the production of her final season. According to the outlet, the slur was directed towards a Black crew member and caused complaints to be filed against Shed Media, Warner Bros. Discovery, Bravo, and NBCUniversal.

In a January interview withThe Daily Mail, Singer reflected on her departure fromRHONY, saying that she washappy to start a new chapter.

“I can control my own narrative and, you know, I’m happier now and actually I’m calmer. I don’t miss it at all. It was a great experience and I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” she said. Singer also described her experience on the show as “very stressful.”

“It’s time for me just to enjoy myself. And doing the show is not easy. I mean, people think it’s easy. Very stressful, very stressful,” she said.

BravoCon 2023 is continuing through Sunday, Nov. 5 at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.
