We begin with a shot of what calculate like future San Francisco — at least , that look to be the TransAmerica building and the Bay Golden Gate Bridge amongst all this next Rem Koolhaas - esque computer architecture . We ’re back at the Starfleet formal result . This is Alice Eve , who also play the young Agent Q in Men in Black III . Who ’s she play here ? Update : On further consideration , this is clearly a different rig and a different bent of grey scarves . This “ bleak leather jackets and gray scarves ” ensemble seems to be worn on the same planet where Cumberbatch is beat up a Klingon , not the “ red vegetation ” planet .
And then Cumberbatch descends , manoeuver a gunman — it ’s imply he ’s pointing it at Kirk and Uhura , but that could just be some snappy redaction . Oh , and one interesting thing about this vexer drone is who ’s not in it — there ’s no glimpse of Peter Weller , who ’s playing an old adviser to Cumberbatch ’s scoundrel . Why would n’t they show Weller ? mayhap because his appearance gives away which baddie Cumberbatch is play . Like , if he has typical makeup or costuming . Just a thought .
Spock abseils into a igneous lieu amidst tons of Muriel Sarah Spark . Wearing a suit standardized to the single used for skydive in the first motion-picture show . ( Thanks to Ironcladlou and Rfelt for identifying Spock here ! )

We ’re back in lava - land . Notice that Spock is standing on a bouldered shelf , check what appear to be an unreal ball rising out of the lava and begin to bust open . This is arguably another form of Easter Egg — Spock is trip an eruption on purpose . I did n’t point out him standing in this frame the first few times .
And now , Benjamin Spock watches as the lava shoot upwards violently .
In a possibly related ontogeny , everything is blow up aboard the enterprisingness , and the crew is all getting pull down a corridor — explosive decompression ? Gravity failure ?

Kirk punches Cumberbatch right in the fantabulous malar bone , while Spock watches , holding a swelled gun . Note that Kirk is wearing the same shiny cap he was wearing with his gray scarf in the “ Kirk and Uhura ” shot to begin with . And Spock has on the same weirdly patterned jacket he was wearing earlier , when he was sneaking up with his gun .
Sulu does n’t experience which console to look at — they ’re all equally alarming .
Spock go through a city in the closest he gets to a panic , pulling out his phaser .
Someone — probably Cumberbatch — plunges through a plate glass window .
Now Alice Eve is wearing a aesculapian / scientific uniform . And freaking out really loudly .
Now instead of being sucked down corridors , people are being propelled by huge fiery explosions down corridors .
Uhura shout out on Scotty ’s shoulder . Scotty count inconsolable .
Kirk progress to down to hear and help pull someone up …
… but he ’s too late . Something blows up and whoever he was make for is belike gone .
Cumberbatch pulls back his fist …
… and plunges it into something . Or someone .
Kirk looks like he ’s had the worst Clarence Shepard Day Jr. of his life as he goes into confront Cumberbatch , who ’s wearing a Starfleet uniform and gloating . ( As seen in the photo up top . ) “ So . Shall we get down ? ” he asks .
A group of people await on in repulsion as something fearful sound down . I ’m not certain , but that might beNazneen Contractorup front — she ’s purportedly playing the wife of Noel Clarke ’s character , but Clarke recently said he thought he ’d been slue out of the concluding flick . But I could be wrong — I have n’t watched Contractor in anything before . Update : Commenter Hades_Kane think this is Cynthia Addai - Robinson , from Spartacus .
Destruction rain down down on the city … probably still San Francisco . And we ’d only just cleanse up from that Pacific Rim kaiju attack last week .
Something crash into the waterfront … it ’s the Enterprise . With fume coming out of one of the nacelles . Like I said , I ’m pretend this happens before the bit where the Enterprise lifts out of the body of water . ( Update : Or possibly just another Starfleet vessel . )
And now we ’re on to the Nipponese fillip scene . Cumberbatch , sounding quite sad , enounce , “ Is there anything you would not do for your folk ? ” The accent on “ your ” makes it sound as though Cumberbatch is enjoin that he ’s doing all of this for his family line — which could be the fellow augments , if he ’s Khan . Or could be his fad following , if he ’s Garth of Izar . Hard to say . In any showcase , Kirk look horrified as the light turn an ominous Bolshevik . Oh , and note that Kirk is wearing his dress uniform again , which I ’m guessing is from the showtime of the moving-picture show , when he ’s at that ceremonial result .
And the last shot shows Kirk — probably — reaching up to a home plate deoxyephedrine window , on the other side of which , what appear to be Spock ’s helping hand comes up to match his . This is an obvious court to the “ death of Spock ” tantrum in Wrath of Khan — and it ’s probably a misdirection . It seems unconvincing that they ’re give out to kill off Spock so soon in the series — although it would get people spill the beans . Plus , again , this sequence is probably from near the start of the film , because Kirk is in his ceremonial uniform .
