Anyone who has ever attended a bunko game in all likelihood knows what crossplay is — to tire out the costume of someone not your sex . Usually this is done for blow value and to be funny ( “ That man is tire out woman ’s dress ! How droll ! ” ) , although occasionaly there ’s a group like theDC crossplayersthat do more than only wear the costumes and genuinely produce what an actual costume designed for the other sex might entail .

EnterRyan of Mad Art Lab . Formerly a unswerving hater of Slave Leia ’s kit and her metallic element bikini , he came around after one of those rare internet discussion where people actually listen to each other . The short version : Ryan decided to garment as Slave Leia at this year ’s flimflam . But , like the aforementioned DC crossplayers , he did n’t just want to wear the metal two-piece for shock value — he wanted to make a true male combining weight of Slace Leia kit . “ Slave Leo , ” he call off it .

And it is magnificent .
Ryan ’s explanation of his thoughts regarding the graphic symbol , past and present , as well as why he made his conclusion to dress as Slave Leo this twelvemonth are fascinating reading . We extremely recommend tick them out – along with some extra photograph of Slave Leia in all his glory — here .
