When a comet threatens to put down their satellite , the citizens of Hondo muster in their most decorate soldier , General Trius ( Nils d’Aulaire ) , to search for a new home planet and wipe out the current inhabitants with a frame - eat computer virus . After landing somewhere near Brooklyn , General Trius wanders into a megastore to unleash the terror … when he ’s suddenly enchanted by a strange and occult human innovation known as “ medicine . ” He immediately abandons his plan to eradicate the human race , assumes the name Bill , starts a family , and set up a one - alien bluegrass number in a midget bar owned by Larry ( Dee Snider , yes , the amazing one ) .
