First test snap was all I needed apparently . This dumb cat already acts like he ’s far-famed , so I ’m not expire to show him this if it ’s featured on Giz . Nikon D90 , 35 mm frozen lens on manual of arms with a green and red Sharpie color sandwich bag . No photoshopping take !

1940s Hat
This was necessitate partly through a sandwich baggie scribbled with red and blue marker . The picture is of my babe in front of a rock-and-roll fireplace wearing a 1940 ’s style hat . She needed a new profile picture so this is going to be it . I processed the photo in Adobe Lightroom and fished it up with the OnOne Perfect Portrait and Perfect Effects plugins for Photoshop . Sweet Plant
I am a giant fan of using photography but without it feeling like photography . For me , that is what this challenge was and I could n’t have been more delirious ! This epitome was taken out by my patio in the morning sun . I knew I wanted to see this technique in action alfresco because there is n’t much colouring material yet in the area I live . This flora will eventually have some fresh blood-red berries , but for now it needs a fiddling help ! I travel out of doors to feel some spring flowers , but this was my pet image ! It makes me imagine of summer , and BOY do I hope summer beget here before long ! When it does fare , I ’ll let you know how the strawberries savor ! The account is pretty self - explanitory but I got a bag and tore a hole in the middle , I write with red and greenish marker around the edges , and I went to my elbow room where my cat was sitting by the windowpane and start snap pictures . When I think I had enough , I put them into iPhoto and bump the best one and this is the only one that I liked . I cropped it , turned the saturation up a little bit , and turn up the exposure just slenderly . I used my Sony NEX 5N with the kit lens with ISO 800 , 1/1600 shutter speed , and f/3.5

Realistically…
Due to the recent shortage in Caterpillar photos on the net I decided to submit a photograph of my cat . Realistically though , I operate mountain biking and direct many photos there , however the day was a bit overcast and sadly I did n’t get anything I was overly fond of , which is a shame . The photo of my computed axial tomography were taken the day prior to test out the essence and were never meant to be for contest submission … but here I am . I used a canon T2i and a 50 mile 1.8 Canon lens ( keeping it cheap ! ) . Put the shutter speed at about 400 and fired away sample to becharm the sun in my fancy zip lock bag next to the window .

Witch Hazel
I try the cup of tea filter yesterday on some shots and did OK , but figured I ’d try more today . Since it was our first warm - ish Clarence Day in a long time ( just 5 days ago we had snowfall ! ) I was out with family taking a walk around a local lake . Not many flowers or bud out yet , but we saw this lot of witch hazelnut tree and I decided I ’d try the old bag filter on it . This exposure was the good of the bunch . It ’s a fun usage – one that I ’ll continue to try , despite reckon a bit odd with a plastic dish on your camera !

Trail Closed
I was at dwelling in Santa Cruz for Spring break and I decided to drink some coffee berry from the local java shop . After drinking some coffee that was right smart too strong , I depart to draw on a pliant bagful with sharpy . After I tested the pocketbook filter in my backyard for a while , I went for a walk to the beach . I amount upon a lead to the beach that used to be a common path down the cliffside , but at the top of the track I was greeted with a “ Trail Closed ” sign . I decided to go go over it out . The staircase that used to lead from the top was no longer there , so I climbed down the cliffside . 40 feet down I get hold what was go forth of the staircase . Chelsea Pier
When I saw the contest I had luxurious visions of using sun and a well placed plastic bag to make a couple of pillars of light around the Freedom Tower . It ’s only a short walk to Chelsea Pier from where I exist , so I headed out there with my camera , some markers , and a few fictile dish . The first thing I realized was that the freezer - style bag I had were too thick and totally block out almost everything when over the camera . So I tore a larger pickle in the bottom and sort of obligate it out the best I could . In the end , I managed to entrap the WTC in purpleness , but could n’t get everything lined up as well as I had hoped . I still retrieve it ’s pretty neat , and may try again ( with a cheaper bag ! ) at some point . canyon 5D Mark III with EF24 - 70 mm F/2.8L at 70 mm and f/2.8 . 1/4000second exposure .

My detent Howie . Could n’t happen a plastic bag and a model after church and adjudicate that the plastic wrapping on a jolt of Nutella and my Canis familiaris would have to do . Wish I planned this well . Added some direct contrast and vibrance in position only because I lost a great deal of that with this apparatus . For this challenge I headed to the Rose Heritage Garden here in San Jose . I was pretty unbelieving of the plastic traveling bag upshot , so I bring many types of lenses to try on it out with . I call back the effect make for well with the Macro lens : It blurred the background and made the subject digest out . Who would have make love you’re able to double a “ Instagram ” filter with a glad sandwich base ! Canon T2i , f/5.6 , 100 mm , ISO 100
